Young Washington Wizards point guard John Wall will ADIDAS HOLOGRAPHIC SHOES make his first NBA All-Star Game appearance this Sunday. You've gotta hand it to the team at Afew for their consistent, creative sneaker related items. Following up their Nike Sportswear tote and their Asics Archive tee is this, a sneaker cake recreating the just re-issued adidas Mutombo . No word on the sizing of the sweet shoe, but we can only hope it was made in Mutombo's likeness to ensure that there was enough to go around. You've heard plenty this year about the efforts of adidas, and how that brand is "back" as a result of their ongoing moves in recruiting new talent and nailing modern designs. Much noise has already been made about the partnerships planned from the powerful trio of Kanye, Pharrel, and Nigo. The brand has had no shortage of major hits this year in terms of new footwear the adidas ZX Flux and the various BOOST models are slowly becoming ubiquitous on the lifestyle side of things. On top of those developments, word got out today that the brand has just acquired top Nike designers Denis Dekovic, Marc Dolce, and Mark Miner, and will be opening up a new "creative design studio" in Brooklyn as the home of this new talent.
You've seen collections from Nike , and Converse celebrating diversity and the LGBTQ community for 2017, and now adidas presents their own ADIDAS ADIPRENE Pride collection. Releasing on June 1st will be these four sneakers, the Ultra Boost 3.0 , Superstar , EQT Support ADV , and Crazy Explosive Low , each with special rainbow-colored "bubble" graphics atop black and white bases. Naturally, the Ultra Boost 3.0 is the star of the show, featuring a black and dark grey Primeknit upper with the rainbow colors in a unique printed treatment on the bottom portion of the cage and across the heel counter.
